NEW BRITISH 1000 YARD RECORD.
Last Sunday, at the Gelston Benchrest Range in Dumfries, David Sharp shot a new British record for a 5-shot group at 1000 yards.
Using his 6BR Light Gun, David shot a stunning 59mm group (2.322 inches). David's rifle is built on a Winchester action fitted with a Bartlein barrel.
Although David has only been shooting Benchrest for about five years, he is no novice when it comes to setting records. In 2018 he set a new 1000 yard Factory Sporter record of 3.09 inches with his 'out of the box' 308 Savage.

Sadly I don't use faceache if there is any additional info there. I suspect his success is down to a long list of small improvements and behaviours which add up to a lot.

For a 10 shot group I think Charles Greer (usa) still has it with a 2.65” group but not sure on a 5 shot group.
