Hearing protection recommendations with good sound amplification

Can anyone recommend a good set of electronic ear defenders with good sound amplification? This is particularly important as I'm already a little deaf!
Currently looking at the Sordin Supreme Pro and Peltor Sport-Tac...
Will be predominately for game shooting and time on the range.
Thanks.

I have a pair of the Sordin pro they are very good and amplify the background sound and give good protection, the gel ear packs would probably make them even better which I don't have but i can recommend them.

A friend has the Peltor and these are also really good, maybe even slightly better at cutting out wind noise but in all honesty there wasn't much in it.

As far as build and robustness I'd give the nod to the Sordin, mine have been knocked about for years in the back of my pickup and still going strong they are tough.

Just my tuppence worth I don't think you'll go wrong with either, maybe someone with more experience with the Petor could add some extra information on them.

Good luck and safe hunting

I use peltor ones and it’s remarkable what they pick up when you’re sat quietly. They have even survived dunking on the marsh.

Sportac will give you the hearing of a super human. You can turn them up and it makes you think things are literally feet away when they can be 100s of yards. So I try to keep the volume lower to stop that feeling.

Peltor SportTac for game shooting and clays. For the rifle range they are insufficient if there‘s someone fooling around with a muzzle break. This this I recommend the Peltor ProTac - Shooter version, not the hunter version.

Peltor.
Used them extensively for many years.
Amplify sound to such an extent that you can hear conversations at distance. Several pegs up on a driven day, have to be aware of the consequences of critiquing neighbouring guns.

On Earshot Communications’ recommend I’ve ordered a pair of Swatcom Active 8s. They’re not cheap but I gather they’re incredibly good!

I use Sordin Supreme Pro-X and find them to be excellent. Very good on the range where people are shooting with muzzle brakes, but I can still hear conversations clearly. I have a set of gel pads, but haven’t yet found the need to fit them. Just my experience.

I have both peltor & sordin supreme pro x they both seem to perform very similar

I have had a pair of Peltor Sporttac for 6 years and they are very good. I can hear people talking at least 20 feet away, which has surprised them at times!!! Got mine from Best4headsets
