Is there anybody on here that preps up heads for a fee? Can remember vaguely reading something about it on here? I realise its simple enough but iv really no spare time or a pot big enough to boil it in without causing ww3!
I did a quick search but nothing really found

+1 for Ironmatt: he does a terrific job.
I, too, would start a war if I did this in our house, but my family are well impressed with Matt's work.

Too bad I didn’t live closer, I’d do them for free! It’s a nice pass time, like cleaning guns in front of the tv.

Have you guys attempted maceration at all by any chance? (Skull + waterbucket)

It stinks for sure but if you have a decent bit of land toss the skull in and just leave it will give you a perfectly cleaned skull

After that you can toss the skull in some water with dish soap and give it another few weeks then peroxide it total time maybe.... 10 minutes?

I do not inted to steal a business from capabale hands, however I know with personal experience that a head (roe or chamois, fallow not available and red is too large) can be prepared "without causing ww3", provided that the head is kept in the fridge or in a water bucket for about one day. Skin the head, removing as much meat is possible, remove eyes, tongue, and lower jaw. Then put the head in a dedicated pot (better you buy a cheap one) and pour water up to the roses. Cover the pot (not the antlers) to save electricity or gas and wait for water to boil (a beer may help to spend the waiting time. Throw away the water as soon as boils, then start again cooking. I live in a small flat (50 sq. meters i.e. about 540 sq. feet) and my wife admits that the kitchen smells less than while making soup.
Don't forget to wash carefully the pot after the use, otherwise the residual fat will smell.

Iv managed to clean off the skull down to the bone just by sticking it in a bucket for a while to get it nice and soft, and when the weather gets hot take it out and let the maggots do their bit. Just don’t have it too close to the house, or let your dogs find it! However one iv cleaned it up and washed it Etc iv struggled to get the bone white, someone told be to put peroxide on it so I brushed that on, but it’s still got a brown tinge and smells. Any idea how I can get it whiter and smell free? Thanks

Best to skin the heads off , boils for approx 35 mins, jet wash flesh off including inside skull, peroxide while skull is still wet, then let it dry off. You won’t get them white the way you are doing it unfortunately.
