6.5 cm moderator recommendations

The eternal question of what mod.

Muzzle cans are by and large the most effective in my opinion. You are always going to get some noise and any mod with dampen it. Why have a large reflex can on your rifle.

The Ase Utra Jet-z is no longer made.

The Ase Utra SL5i is nice and small and effective. Financially doesn’t break the bank.

If you want to go wild I love the Oceania Defence 3D printed mods. But you are talking £700.

I have two on two different creedmoors, one A-Atec H2 and a DPT, both a really good. I did add the stainless baffle to the DPT and it seems to be doing the job but I would say the H2 is better, better designed, neater threads, lighter and to my ears less noise…

Hi, what's everyone using on their 6.5 creeds? I'm looking at going for the wildcat evo.

thanks.

What do you want it for?

Hunting where maximum noise attention isn’t the goal, more something that’s not damaging to your hearing for one or two shots. Weight is a consideration as you don’t want a giant counterbalance on the end of your rifle.

Target where you’re pinging away at a range and want it to sound as quiet as possible, even with hearing protection? Weight will be less of an issue/no issue.

Whatever you choose will be a compromise between weight, longevity, sound attenuation and price!

Use a wildcat Evo on my .223 and a Stalon w110 on my .308. A mate of mine has a Hausken on his 6.5. All good mods. cant really go wrong

Ase Utra SL5i on my target rifle, short, neat, simple, and the weight means a good recoil-reduction. Stalking rifle has a DPT on it, reasonably light over-barrel and lovely. I'd cheerfully recommend either, but if my DPT needs replacing, it'll be with another SL5i.

On my 6.5CM I have a Ase Utra .30 SL7i-BL with a Borelock .30 Muzzle Break. Really like this set up and also have the Jet-Z CQB on my .223.

I really rate my Stalon moderator but also really like my ASE Jet Z CQB.
Given the brilliant customer service from Jackson Rifles with a really good discount trade in deal for used A-Tec or ASE moderators I would probably opt for an A-Tec or ASE, fantastic build quality and design backed up with genuine customer service.

I have a Hausken muzzle mounted on mine which is light and seems good. Several people have commented on how quiet it is.
