Kentucky Ballistics gun explosion

I have always been told never never shoot a round that someone else has reloaded.
But We have all done it.

Speak for yourself!

I never have and I never will.

Unless your name is Federal or Lapua (other brands are available) and you happen to own an ammunition factory (or two).

I felt like someone walked over my grave when I saw that, I had a remington rolling block let go on me, the extractor left a scar on my thumb I can still see 60 years later and I've had tinnitus ever since in my right ear.

So in the end the consensus was that it was dodgy ammo.
if so the design of the gun should have still failed safe, a simple hole in the cap to allow the gas to escape would probably been all that was required. Not a make of gun I would want to own, the gunmaker not come across as very professional in his various videos.

The guys recovery is an inspiration to be honest. He is very entertaining with high production quality of his videos, I particularly like the high speed slow motion footage shots.

Yes I've been watching him since the "Put a Thumb In It" moment, got to say I thought he managed that 4 bore rather well last night.
Personally I have no wish to abuse my shoulder in that way.

Neil.
