Memories still raw 20 years on from historic bushfires in east Victoria

It was the biggest fire Victoria had seen for almost 70 years. It burnt for 60 days and destroyed 41 homes. Twenty years on, residents are still processing what they saw.

I like them in winter..when the ****s are asleep.
My daily " venture outside" in snake season is one of eyes wide open, do nothing until all over is scanned.
Mate opened his back door a few weeks ago and a brown rolled off his deck as the fly screen door hit it.

just seems odd to me that a creature which can easily kill you is protected and serves no great purpose should have a bounty on them bet many get swotted?

Many target them on roads with their cars. I dont ever run over them.
Lots see a snake a mile from the house..bang...I dont.
They are there for a reason...a reason I haven't grasped yet.
