I've had both the pre a Remington version. Not much in it if anything I preferred my Remington one.

I have a Marlin SBL I would part with, it is a Remington made Marlin but I’ve had no issues with it. It doesn’t have any of the faults that the forums talk about. Let me know if you’re interested.

Hmmm, I think that may be a bit short for me, with half an eye on copper in the future.

The bullet is .458" before it expands and the .45-70 Barnes bullets open up at quite low velocity - I don't think you need to worry about that!

Possibly. I've cast a few out of old pewter mugs - no lead in that and they shoot well

I’ve just stuck an old bushnell trophy I had on it for now. Will probably end up with a 4x32 or a 1-4x24 eventually.

Makes it look rather like the Jurassic park version
