Anyone using these moderators and have an opinion on them?

Looking into an over barrel moderator for a build and would appreciate any info/opinions on these from those who have owned/own 1.

Other recommendations welcome also for other over barrel mods

Thanks

Yes, very light, very good, well priced.

Does not ruin balance and still works unlike some baked bean tins sold as moderators.

Unless the muzzle velocity is over 3k fps, don't bother with the stainless baffle.

Follow manufacturer's reccomendations regarding size/calibre.

Probably will be over 3k as I'll be running it in a 6XC

Appreciate that mate 👍

I have one. I'm really pleased with it. Also a stainless baffle. I take it off my rifle. But it cleans itself in my mind. It also stops a lot of noise. It's light.

I use DPT on all my rifles from 223 up to 8.5x55, including a 6xc. Cant rate them highly enough really, light, good price and very good noise reduction. worth bearing in mind the manufacturers guidance re long shot strings and target shooting (ie let it cool), spare Baffles easily available if one does burn out (the stainless one mitigates this to some extent). Recommended

I have one on my .243, light and well made and does not effect the balance too much. If you are going to get the stainless steel baffle do not remove one of the baffles just add the stainless one in. I have an additional baffle in my moderator it only adds about 20mm to the length and adds another few Dbs of noise suppression which is good.

Had two DPT on a Blaser 270 which was a magnum and std on a Blaser 243. Swapped both for a Stalon 108 and the noise and recoil reduction was noticeably better.

DPT were slightly smaller diameter and possibly felt better balanced but I wont go back as less recoil and sound is my priority

I have two of them . One on a 308 and another on my 204, both have the stainless baffle.
Very good moderators and its good to know I can replace baffles if I ever burn one out.

I also run a couple, one in a 6x47, one on a 204. Mine are both end of barrel models, both with stainless baffles, and 2 extra baffles, great mods, lightweight work very well, the mk2 is better than the mk1, also Bill is a great bloke to deal with pm me if you want his details

I've got my RFD to ping them a mail, but thanks for the offer.

I've asked him to query an over barrel mod, 18:1 thread, 6mm calibre, and with stainless baffle.

Had one for a few years now, really like mine, light and is more effective than my previous ASE Ultra, I'd have another DPT .

Following reviews on here, I’d previously ordered in a DPT with a stainless baffle to @Edinburgh Rifles
When I actually handled it in the shop and compared it to a Hausken and a Stalon I paid a little bit more and left the shop with a Stalon Xe149 which I am very happy with.
The DPT are good but I felt the Stalon was better build quality and it’s performance in the field is brilliant.

I have a dpt over the barrel mod. It is light, thin and short. I use it on a 6.5-284 for recreational stalking. I also have an atec, stalon and a t8. Out of the lot I prefer the dpt

I have a dpt on a tikka t3 6.5 creedmoor.
Nice and light setup when using freehand or off sticks.
Very happy and recommended.

I have other mods but prefer the dpt as an all round package.
