Antler for dogs

My WRM's dog had an emergency operation on Arran after it became ill, turns out it was antler bone that had splintered and ruptured the stomach, Dog is doing well but the bank balance took a real beating..Think it was to the tune of 2K.

NZ people like to give there dogs Velvet red deer antlers, I would assume those would be much better for a dog as a treat?

I like others don’t like antler chews.

I give ours hoof clippings have loads at stables . Nice and soft chewy fun keeps them busy for hours also makes good treat .

Hoof clippings give my dog the worst wind, bloody smelly! You don’t want her in the truck or tractor with you!

I give my dog Fallow lower legs. She pulls the sinews and joints apart and eats them and the hooves. She then chews the fur off and chews the bone for a day or so, then gets a new one.
Sacrilege! One of the best cuts! Have a look at scott rea venison hocks, you'll never give them to the dog again👍
