Watched the route on Flightradar24 but unfortunately it wasn’t coming near our way.
Would have like to have seen it as I remember them banking past the High School as they flew down the Strathmore valley.
Regular as clockwork 11:15 on Mondays during physics which always led to a change of discussion to Newton’s laws

Make me wonder why France and Germany have created a new C130 squadron when we are getting rid! We know the A400 is plagued with problems.

Old Faithful until youre in the back of one and theres a fire and youre flying over somewhere you would rather not make an emergency landing…

When we were kids one was flying low, training over some waste mining ground in the early 80's. Us kids climbed a slag heap to watch and frantically waved.
They did a steep turn and came around now with rear door open and lower, as the craft passed over the cargo bay chap was on the back door waving to us. As they flew away they waved the wings and then we're gone.
It was brilliant

Been on the back, when carrying out short landing and take off, in South Africa in 1994 iirc, dirt runway. To get the space for the take off. (we had stopped a few meters from a tree line) a tractor needed to turn it around and then back the Herc into wood as far as safety allowed. Great fun.
