This is the main reason why I like making my own Pies, Sausages and Burgers etc; so that I know exactly what goes into them and what I am eating!Everyone needs to eat more protein as they get older. Eggs and dairy are a very good source. So are a lot of vegetables, especially nuts, seeds and pulses and some cruciferous veg like broccoli and cauliflour. Everyone should eat more of those.
The problem with meat is rubbish highly processed meat derived products that are full of additives. They're very bad for you body and very bad for the environment. And vegan imitation meat products are even worse. Industrial vegan junk is even more over-processed and additive-filled than junk meat.
Just eat a balanced mix of natural meat, fish, dairy and animal fats, fresh vegetables of all types, fruits, nuts, herbs and spices and nothing that doesn't occur in nature. It's simple.
We need to understand their motives, I know several vegans who have succumbed to a bacon butty. When the wind was blowing the right direction I'd hang cooked bacon on the washing line.
Idiots....
Sometimes when I'm really really hungry it can make me feel a little nauseous so yeah spot on"My family are vegan (we eat only plant based foods) and the smell of the meat you cook makes us feel sick and upset."
I bet the truth was that it made them fell hungry.
That's because people who eat a balanced diet do so from motivations of taste and nutrition, not politics. The problem with veganism is the associated moral high ground they often assume and can not handle it. Manifested by trying to impose against others individual choices.
After all, carnivorous humans don't go around ripping lettuce fields up do they!
