Ruger M77 VT MkII mounts question

I have just bought a new M77 VT mkII in .243, I plan to have it as an “everything” gun and I will put a HIK ALPEX on top. When I bought it I didn't realise there was a mental mounting system of different ring heights.

The Alpex has a 50mm objective lens, can anyone please confirm which Ruger rings I will need?

The VT has a heavy barrel.

Thank you

Get yourself a pair of Burris 'Ruger to Weaver' bases & you can then use a variety of rings of your choice.
Having looked on line the sizes are not clear, do these effectively elevate on end giving you a level rail to mount on with standard rings?

I have been shooting Ruger M77 for 35 + years, one of the best features are the factory scope mounts, I’ve never had to re zero a rifle when fitted with a quality scope despite rough baggage handling and many long haul flights. I’d recommend sticking with original rings.

30mm Ruger High rings are for 52mm objective.

Do they come in sets or do I need a high for the front and something else for the back?

I bought Leupold rings for my M77mk2, plenty of choices for tube Ø and tube height, superb quality

Think you need 5 at the front and 6 at the back .

DO NOT GO OVER A 50M scope AS RUGER M77 MK11 DO NOT LIKE ANY SCOPE ABOVE CHECK ON RUGER SITE.

Had this problem for months now found out why both scopes were above 560m

Just matter of interest why do they not like a scope over 50mm please ?

Back scope mount sits higher than the front mount was getting the hump with the rifle shooting so high as I brought the second hand rifle from a well known gun shop in Kent.
All i can say they switched the scopes as no one could shoot the rifle as it was as and other's had tried to hit a board.
Put a 50m scope on. and on target in three shots

The one that came on the rifle was 60.m then i did the same brought a 56m then i saw the instructions on the site saying not to fit above 50m.
So scope number three a 50m used Swarovski scope bang on .

We all learn as the wife said how many scopes do need to buy
