Getting ready for after harvest..

This mod to a big set of rolls was a bit of a test that went very well, (for the people who might not understand) the big tractors can compress the ground year in year out so the middle set of tines go in about 4" and take out the wheel marks, then the rolls do there part.
So before the madness of harvest I finished the rest of the tyne modifications, U-bolts need torquing up, soft face grinder and a bit of paint but my bit is done...

Re-used parts off a big seed drill and steel plate/box section left over from previous jobs, so doing our bit to save the planet lol

Looks like you've got my old Fordson in the background. Even the loader and the roll bar are the same.
Sold it about 20 years ago.

I am sure most stalkers think the entrance to the farm is via a small gate after meeting at costa coffee in the early hrs of the morning..lol

Well that comment just goes to show how little you know about it.
We would not be here if you had asked, Anything arable related goes right over my head, I'm afraid.

Yes, you said that in the first post, thanks.
Each to their own, Tim. I don't pretend to have much knowledge about your branch of the industry, but I don't make stupid derogatory remarks about it either.

I had had enough of boring myself silly sitting on a tractor going up and down endless rows of crops when I was based in East Anglia, so I cut and ran for the hills 30 years ago.

Then please don't disrupt the thread as I don't do it to yours... It is quite simple 🤫

Oh ffs Tim, are you having a particularly thick day or something? You posted a photo that interested me, so I remarked upon it. Hardly a disruption, until you turned it into one. If you don't really want people to comment on your photos then don't post them. It's pretty simple.

See you are doing it again....Go write a book...
