A lightly used sako quad 22 wmr sporter profile barrel shortened to around 13 inches.

creates a very handy rifle with this barrel fitted, I used it for short range car based foxing.

175 transferred, if face to face I’ll include all 22wmr ammo I currently hold around 200 rounds I think.

It groups around an inchwith NV and hornady ammo. Could do better with a day scope. Only ever shot three shot groups as it’s purely a foxing rifle for me.

It think they were around £250 new, not sure there are any new available in the U.K.

No, they are different.

Different chamber and case lengths and diameter, in terms of variation required 22RF would suffice in most forces it does in Scotland. Fitting and removal from the action is the same, this is a sporter profile barrel. The WMR packs a little more of a bunch with ammo up to 50 gr. Ammo is more expensive.

These are v v effective…. And good fun.

I now have all four barrels. Wmr is absolutely superb.
