Sold: BSA CF2 .243

A lovley unmolested CF2 in .243 for sale with a matching vintage (80s) BSA fixed 6x mag scope on top. Many times I have considered upgrading the scope but it is so clear I have never needed to bother.

Not screw cut. I have the rear manual sight but there is no front sight on the barrel. Lovely piece of wood on it and it has never put a foot wrong, with the very safe bolt design too.

This rifle easily cloverleafs at 100yds with 100gr winchester rounds - a number of which (I think 28, will count when I get home) included with the sale.

Many many years ago, I saw my very first full bore rifle must have been in the late 50s (showing my age) the owner said, "Do not' touch that" as he lent it up in the corner of the room. I just could not take my eyes off it pure fascination!
He at the time used to rear pigs on an urban plot, would collect pigs swill to feed them, then come the festive season, he would slaughter one for the pork he could sell, hence the use of the 243 BSA CF2 Rifle. At that time strictly legal and above board.

I used to walk through BSAs stocking shop at the end of Armoury Road daily in 1965-66 when I was collecting machine oils for the apprentice training centre, it fascinated me then and stock making still holds me in awe.

If anyone is put-off by it being a .243...don't be 80gr Federal Powershoks will do the job very well and for the politically correct - Winchester 85gr Copper Impact are working well for me.
