The Benefits of Using Non-Toxic Bullets for Deer Management in the UK

Lead ban now in effect here over wetland areas.
Most people ( including me ) weren’t aware that the regulation has been signed and implemented.
It’s going to cause a fair old kerfuffle on the 1st Sept when the ducks open, the designated area includes the whole of Wicklow uplands, deer now also need to be shot with non lead projectiles. There are a few big driven shoots in the designated area too, at nearly £60 a box bismuth ammo is going to increase the cost of the day by a significant margin.
I have a couple of boxes of bismuth 6’s on order, the rifles are already weaned on to copper.

Correct ED

This thread started discussing AI, alas it used lead as an example and so got derailed almost immediately.

I hope all those with such strong views and evidence that lead is OK to use have submitted it to the HSE and their MPs.

As for AI, it's use in scanning individuals will only increase, let's hope it can better detect the few undesirables in the Police and Nursing professions who are missed by the current systems that are ow being extended to license holders.

Arguing that the “writer” is a fool before understanding what AI is was the best part….

I never realised it was an article generated by ai. My bad but where did ai gets its blurb from??
Anyway,I know when to apologize and do so to the board.
I apologize for not liking or wishing to roll over for unnecessary changes.
I'm gonna have to go quietly and slowly slip under the radar on this subject.
I'm done, please carry on with the original discourse. Sorry.

I draw your attention to the very first sentence in the OP:

“friend asked ChatGPT4 about the benefits of using non-toxic bullets (yes I know they are heads!) and this was the AI reply”.

You just saw a thread about non lead and got triggered… 😁

The two key things to realise are (1) that the AI is very sensitive to the prompts you feed it, and (2) it is essentially aggregates the consensus opinions derived from its source material.

It’s not completely clear what source material was used to train ChatGPT (that’s a trade secret), but it’s generally accepted that it was fed the bulk of the published scientific literature that was available online over the last 10 years, at least.

I recommend going and playing with it. It’s fascinating (and terrifying). Type in questions about your favourite subjects and see what you think of the answers. Quite apart from anything else, it’s going to become ubiquitous in all written information in the near future, so it’s worth understanding what it can do. Chances are you’ve already been exposed to a lot of AI generated content without realising.

Utter no nonsense and a very good example of arse licking if I may say.
I think the prat that wrote about water contamination is going to look real dumb when he looks at his or his neighbours roof!
Muppet.
What about the tens of thousands of miles of lead pipes that supply the water to peoples houses.

Here is a 10 second reply from Chat GPT to the question:

Write a limerick about a man called Smellydog

There once was a man named Smellydog,
Whose aroma was like a thick fog.
He bathed with some soap,
But still couldn't cope,
With a scent that could knock you agog!

It really is very impressive…. But a bit scary!!

How the hell does it know about the fog!!!
