Hi All

Can anyone recommend a jump starter pack, needs to start a Ford Ranger, Quad + small family car, probably would only get used a couple of times a year but just nice to have that bit of security, especially when I’ve turned up at the farm & the Quad won’t start, be nice to have 1 or 2 USB outlets to maybe charge the NV & thermal etc. also didn’t want to brake the bank but needs to last.

Cheers

Ade

I will try and dig mine out - got mine off amazon as one of those China knockoff things, but touch wood seems to start a 1.6L diesel QQ alright. I believe it is rated to go for larger engines as well but will report back (If I can find the "safe" place I stowed it away!)

I have a small pack will jump up to 3lt cost think was just over £100 will charge phones and other bits mine charges from the cig lighter or 230 ac its got my 2lt out of the poo a few times when not using the car for some time.

Sounds stupid due to the name, but GooLoo are the best battery jump packs.

I looked at the GooLoo ones, the one on the demo video is a little bit larger pack (as it's rated 10 Litre engine size) But the cables and control unit could be out of my car, exact same things even the colours.

Hi. Ade

I’ve just got the 3 litre starter pack from Halfords little orange jobby, works a treat, leave it in the truck to charge up

I used it twice to start two vans up and all it used was 10% of the battery - well pleased with it about £80 its worth that not to be stuck in the wood somewhere when I’ve left the lights on 🙄

Got one of these from Halfords, unused still in original box wrapped in original cellophane if interested. About 2 months old. Will start 7 litres petrol, 4.5 diesels. Up to 30 jumps per charge and also acts as a power bank.

It was an unrequired gift - no receipt unfortunately . PM if you want to make an offer.

I use one of these, it has no problem with a 4.4V8 diesel, I couldn't believe such a little thing could turn over such big engines but it does, also available through Amazon.

I’ve had one of the below for several years - I have started an Old Ford 550 digger almost weekly with it for a long time - it is excellent and still going strong, very compact as well.

The noco is the one I use. Keep it on my boat and has helped a few times (also my 3l Chrysler diesel). It’s not expensive than knock offs but don’t fancy risking 10 miles out at sea and a knock off not working. Boat stuff is all I don’t skimp on. Noco is great.

Hi tf223

Would you take £100 for it.

Cheers

I got a Sealey one. Tried using it on a buggered quad bike.
It was fairly useless because the croc clips on it are too big to access the terminals on the battery.
I now keep the quad on trickle charge because it's rarely used and the batterys die.
