Pulsar Thermion 2 XP50 PRO LRF Crashing.

Anybody ever had a problem with their Pulsar Thermion crashing?

Scope is about 6 months old and has worked flawlessly till this weekend.

I was out Friday night and I hit record before taking a shot at a fox and my scope crashed, image paused for a second before the unit just shut down. I managed to get it turned on again quickly and did not try to record again just took the shot, with the shot seeming to cause the scope to crash again. I turned it back on again to confirm the shot and then tried to record, which successfully managed to record a short video.
I later had another fox where I did not try to record just took the shot and the scope crashed, again seemingly from the shot!

Anyone ever experienced this or got any ideas as to what maybe causing the problem.

Many thanks
Gary

I have a xq50 pro & on Thursday night mine acted exactly the same, froze after a shot then turned on again worked fine again till another shot. Brought mine at the end of Jan 2023, worked faultlessly till now

The internal battery was full.

The scope was on my 204 so we're not talking massive recoil. When I got home I turned the scope on and knocked the butt of the stock on the floor a few time to try and replicate it, and the scope remained on and working.

Cheers

I have been zeroing my thermion2 XP50 tonight and it has been crashing after every shot. Did anyone find out why this was happening?

Not much good really though
4 k plus scope and its needs a bit of card ?!?
Yeah exactly and only 6 months old, luckily it’s a estate scope and not my money but still needs sorting and be right for the money they paid!

Put a piece of card in mine as instructed & will report back tomorrow night.
I’ve just done mine aswell and going out now, I’ve used a piece of card from a shotgun cartridge box not sure if it will be wide enough but we will see

used some card in mine last night shot a fox and it crashed luckily the person stood next to me had a pair or mergers to see what happened and that was with card in the battery tube. Maybe the card was to think? I still can’t understand why that would cause it to crash when it has an internal battery. Surely it would just switch over the to internal battery of the external one was to disconnect (like it does when it dies?
