Hik Alpex 4

Last month I had a problem with the Alpex and I basically had to wipe everything and start fresh. Lost my zeros, ballistics everything. This was under the guidance of HIK support (abroad by the sounds of it).

LRF basically wasn't working.

Annoyingly this meant I lost the very stable firmware/software version I'd had on it since I bought it last year.

Ever since I have a feeling it's not holding zero. It's also requesting I enter a PIN number everytime I connect my one and only device to the scope to view footage. Which leads me onto the last point, it's failing to record clips sometimes. Now I'm only using it on the .22LR at the moment. But it's never failed to record before.

Anyone else having issues?

Had similar issues with the failure to record & also the lrf & ballistic calc functions turning off while the scope was switched off.

Sent it back to elite optical who did a firmware change I think from memory. Since then it’s never missed a recording & whilst the settings still turn themselves off it’s only happened a couple of times whereas previously it was happening at least 50% of the time the scope got used & then switched off.

Never had any issues with it losing zero, BUT, I do not have faith in its ability to correctly place the aiming mark on the target at max magnification. Hence I never use it at more than 14x.

Never use the LRF function, just like all my glass scope and drone 10's just put the cross hairs on and whack it,
I find what the the distance was when I pace it out :tiphat:
