THERMAL ADD-ON FOR S&B 8x56?

TITANIUM

Looking at options re thermal without going whole hog thermal scope. Anyone have experience of thermal Add-Ons. For foxing with 270/6.5 Creedmoor rifles? Both have S&B 8x56 fitted and both used day/night...
NB - enquiry is about the Add-ons, not the caliber choices. 😁

X8 magnification is way too high for a front add-on (thermal or NV)
The image will be horribly pixellated and the field of view will be tiny
Don't waste your money
BTW with thermal, it can only be a front add-on because thermal radiation (at the relevant wavelengths) does not pass through glass so a rear thermal add-on simply would not work
Frankly, your only option is a dedicated thermal scope fitted with QD rings and swapping between your day scope and the thermal
If you really, really, really want a thermal front add-on then you'll need a scope with a much lower base magnification- not more than x3

Cheers

Thanks for response. Not going ahead with this now as it will not work.
Can you recommend QR mounts. Middle of road price bracket if possible.
