Condor thoughts?

I was told the first shipment of habrok are already all sold, next lot arriving mid December supposedly
There is no first shipment.....Only some sample models have hit the UK. The first shipment lands in around a weeks time. We have pre-orders to fulfill, from the first batch that arrive soon, we have some spare available to pre-order though.

There are these bundle offer deals also.

I never said they were here, I said I was told they were all sold and second shipment should be mid december
Irrelevant to me really because until I start hearing some better reports on hik products I won’t be parting with my hard earned buying into them

There hasn't been a first shipment for anyone to sell any, the first shipment is arriving in around a week....

Good idea to get some feedback first..

When I started this thread I wasn't aware the extent of the problem, and thought the trouble i was having was an isolated issue, how wrong I was.

Personally my initial purchase was the CQ35. It became apparent very quickly this model wasn't suitable for my needs, so I sent it back and purchased the CQ50. I noticed the battery issue on the first outing but assumed I'd not set it up right, and after the second outing I sought advise here.

A member advised me there was a known problem, and a firmware update would solve it. I waited patiently for the update, but after three weeks with no sign of it I contacted the retailer who advised the unit needed returning. Scott country were very good. They arranged for dpd to collect the unit, and upon notification from dpd, they despatch the replacement, so literally less than 24hrs turn around for me which I was very pleased with.

Unfortunately the replacement unit is no better. Again I've been advised a firmware update will solve this, or I could return it for a refund. Fortunately the three supplied batteries are lasting me a night out right now, and I'm very impressed with the image, so I'll await the update and hope for the best. I'm getting around 2.5hrs per battery for those interested

HikMicro will be releasing a new firmware update for the Condor models soon, this should resolve the main issue of incorrect battery indication that can affect the shut off time for the LRF .
Might be a silly question, but is there really a need for the Condor LRF “availability“ to be controlled by the battery indication?

Would be much simpler without this inbuilt interlock, particularly given the battery indication issues which have been arising.

Something for HIK to consider perhaps?

I just bought the CH25L a few days ago. I found this post because I was experiencing similar short run times on the battery. Mine will drop to 3/4 a few minutes after inserting a fully charged battery. After about 30 minutes it will drop to 1/2, then start having issues when the LRF was used and freeze or reboot. I was getting an hour and a half before changing batteries. The unit could still run longer but would start playing up if I used the LRF or recorded video. The batteries would show they had 1/2 charge left when put on the charger.

I have been using the Hik batteries supplied. I spoke to the retailer today and explained the situation. They suggested I try another brand to see if it made a difference as they suspected the Hik ones were crap. They said another customer had issues and was happy with the unit after they supplied different batteries.

Tonight I used a cheap Vastfire 2400 mah battery from a light i have. The Condor ran for 2 hours and still showed 1/2 battery on the display. I had wifi on, was using the LRF frequently and recorded a few videos. Not one freeze or reboot and the battery icon displayed as I would have expected. Not bad for a cheap 2400mah battery vs the 3200mah ones supplied. I'm pretty happy with that. I reckon I could have easily got 3 hours of continuous runtime if I kept it going.

Has anyone else tried using a different brand battery to see if it is any better? I think Hik should have supplied 2 decent batteries instead of 3 crap ones. From tonights results I'm starting to think that a firmware update isn't going to make as much difference as a few decent batteries will.

I have a few cheap ebay 4000mah Boruit batteries from a headlamp somewhere. I will give them a go tomorrow and compare.
I would be interested to hear if any one else has had any luck with another brand of battery.

Saw a post on a Facebook group stating new firmware will be out next week for the condor. Will give 3.5hrs run time.

A lot of faulty units have now been repaired (🙄) and will be returned this week ! Working longer than 30-40 mins ! Pulsar must be smileing .

I've been told today by the retailer that they will arrive in the UK on Friday and they will be shipped to the customers early next week.
Keep their repair elves busy Xmas period 🙃 ! Has any one had a condor back from repair yet and working as should ?

The second unit I had as a replacement had reasonable battery life, but it's getting shipped back today because the shutter sticks and every time you lift it, to wake it up it also requires a long press on the FFC button (long hold ln zoom) to reset the image from a blurred mess. You can tell it's the shutter as it sticks diagonally sometimes. I think this is a cold weather tolerance issue as it's okay in the warm.
Going to try just one more!

Last night we went to the Hik demo at Dauncey guns. The had all the gear there except one monocular. Guess what no Condor 50mm to play with! Had a 35 and desperately wanted to compare the 35 and 50mm Condors.
Appears they can't carry all the range so they exclude the flagship model!
Apparently there have been a few issues with it but it's all been over blown on social media.!
They did have a set of Habrok to play with image pretty stunning but as we were there in the dark so no idea what they are like in daylight.
The fact that there was no 50mm Condor on the van speaks volumes.
