Lab radar external mic

Has anyone tried a cheapo external mic on their lab radar like the below? It’s a bit cheap but not sure if that will be an issue?

I think (just a hunch) they're wired differently. Kind of like "NATO plugs" for comms.

Hence the specific ones made for the LR. I'm not absolutely sure, but I seem to recall that was the case.

I have an external mic for Labradar. Works for everything, including suppressed subsonic 22lr. Not used that particular one in your post though.

Note that Garmin has brought out a new radar chrono which going by reports is better than Labradar, by a long way.

Uhh, yeah! I have the new Garmin Xero, and it makes my Labradar look like a relic. And it's way easier to use and more reliable. No more "shot not recorded" BS...and fits in a smaller package.
