Habrok intial review

Batteries I was out for two hours and still had two bars remaining. I would suspect battery life of around four hours. I did use all the functions lrf illuminator etc.
Ease of use its very accommodating, eye pieces are great soft outer easily focusable. Buttons are set out nicely and in the right order.
Clarity again no problem fov is sufficient and will suit centrefire to air rifles. I only used black and white hot it's a good idea that you can disable the other pallets. The screen is large and clear. I didn't suffer with any eye burn so that's a massive positive.
Optical channel in total darkness is really good its better than the c50. Digital nv using the ir is very average. I would say it's decent out to 80 yards. The ir beam doesn't fill the bottom section of the screen. It would be interesting to see how it performs with a laser ir.
When you use the lrf with the illuminator you can clearly see the laser splash. This is perfectly in line with lrf aiming box. I went from 12 yards to 850 with no bother.
It would be interesting to see how a 50mm version would compare. Its a trade off with range and fov. The size weight and design is just right the unit fitted nicely into my bino chest harness. Overall really impressed struggling to find any negatives. For the price it's really impressive espicially when you compare it to other bino set ups.

Great to read, i totally agree. May i ask what chest harness are you using? Thanks!

Out of interest if you had say £3k to spend would you go with a u it like this or some secondhand glass and a thermal monocular?

I had top of the range RF binos and also RF thermal monocular.
The ideea is to eliminate the need to carry two different units and only use one, for both spotting and identification.
I think Habrok is a winner from all aspects , including performance and price tag. A device with the same specifications and performance made by Pulsar, will probably cost about 5-6K.

That’s what I was hoping to hear. Iv still got a set of Hawke bins which are adequate for day time watching but recently have been borrowing a monocular and all the carry items has been a blooming faff if I am honest.

Quite fancy buying HIK Habrok, but given the issues encountered with the HIK Condors I‘ll be sitting tight until such times, that the Habrok units are proven.
I bought the condor had reservations re the habrok. I'm glad the condor had the issues as the habrok offers more it works and roughly same price

HIK Condor appears to have had significant issues, which have been uncovered by users.
How does the Habrok stack up. ( Noting that most other reputable companies undertake rigurous
testing before releasing the product to the market.)
HIK Condor appears to have relied on buyer feedback, which has been rather negative and disappointing to date.

I provided lots of feedback to hikmicro optics elite and the retailer. I provided full test results on a number of aspects of the unit. I got a thank you from hikmicro and that was that. The bs was ridiculous I got the impression that they were trying to insult my intelligence. The contradiction was ridiculous and I still see it now eventhough they have identified the issue. I identified the issues on the first day of delivery. All these promotions from so called experts at the start of the launch are bs they must have had the units on for five minutes as both of mine didn't last 45 minutes. This is niche market and retailers and manufactures need to bear this in mind. I would suggest that they would be better off to be open and honest and just admit that their product was deficient. I've found no issues at this stage with Habrok which I've stated. However with ant unit I will say what I find remember these units aren't a few pounds they are thousands of pounds.

Most reputable companies encourage “testers” for new concepts and end up with a “ proven product “ before launch
It’s sad that apparently HIK don't bother with this approach.

The Habrok is £900 more than the same specification Condor 640px resolution model... If you want a more compact unit without the optical channel, which personally I would not use in reality, as range is limited at night for clarity and inbuilt IR, the Condor is a solid choice, now the battery issue has been rectified and much smaller form factor, I also prefer the less magnified image on the eye display.

£900 ? Habrok hq35 £2800 Condor cq50 £2500.
X3 mag is around standard lots will go for the daytime and nightime optical..

Whats magnification got to do with it ? It's all about focal length and pixel pitch which give you detection range.

The sensor and lens focal length are identical on HQ35L and CQ35L , so comparing to a more expensive and longer focal length Condor CQ50L is absolutely pointless... any extra magnification is down to the eye display difference, FOV and Detection are identical.
