You'll be busy running it flat. They run for about 8hrs or so. I've been out 8 till 1 and it still half charged. But yes you can run it from a power pack if you've forgot charge it.

Yes you can, but the battery life is very good. There’s a standby function to save energy and it starts up instantly from standby mode
