Hi, got told about the site by fellow lady deerstalker .
Iv been shooting alot of years, mainly shot gun, .22 and air rifle for vermin and the odd clay day .
A few years ago I got into deer stalking and have since passed my DSC L1 , I'm now working towards level 2 .
I regularly go out stalking with my mentor and have also stalked in Scotland on a few occasions. I use a Tikka 243 , but I am putting in a variation for a 6.5 in the very near future .

Welcome and you will love the Creedmoor.

Yes hope so . I thought about a 300 win mag . Tried one last week on a red stag while in Scotland . Cracking gun , but think a 6.5 would be more suitable for around er for the 6 deer species .
Yep, it will do all you need it to do here. Some people look down on them, but each to their own and nothing wrong with that. I have 270 also, and nothing wrong with it all. I just prefer the Creedmoor.

Welcome to this site. I hope you will hang around but do be careful when visiting certain threads that are frankly best avoided whatever your gender. PM me if you require more info!

On a more positive albeit forthright note I’m a little saddened you went for such a blokeish chambering that is the Creedmoor! There really are nicer deer-legal cartridges out there with none of the stigma that comes with this new kid on the block (21st Century) invention.
