Fox baiting station - Ethical? Legal or wot?

I do something similar
Not as much bait as i would not like all that potential for disease in my field - so i just put dog food / buscuits out each day
I think shooting at a known distance - with a safe backstop is very ethical and sensible if you can - no walking about - less chance of missing from a proper box too

When fox skins were worth the dough we always had `roos scattered about that were visited continually.
The roo`s shot on permit of course.

A stink pit with a soil pipe to let the smell out and just a few small tip bits would be every bit as good and not land you in bother . Don't know of a specific law but i bet there are numerous ones that could be employed in a potential prosecution . Its certainly not a great plan if there is farm stock about , let alone walkers etc

Looks like a good setup, if it's effective it is working. I'm looking to try a bait pipe similar to what I have seen on here.

It does look like it's a bit of a big pile, not sure you need quite as much, not sure of rules or health issues.

From what I can see there is a pile of pheasants some of which look like they have been braced. In front of the pile and scattered about I can see largish mammal bones including a partial ribcage - so a mixed bag in every sense.
Sooo, IMHO (deep breath) and legality aside (I don’t know the legislation there, it is :-
Unsightly - would almost certainly cause emotions to any passing non-shooters/children, ranging from upset to distress;
Unwise - may well lead to a call to the police;
Unnecessary - a Bait Pipe would serve just as well and to all intents and purposes be invisible;
Unsanitary - may well cause disease/spoil the ground - I don’t know any farmer who would approve this;
Unwelcome - particularly to the shooting community; and
Utterly dumb for posting on Youtube.

It just doesn’t seem like that big of a deal to me.
A pile of dead pheasants from a commercial shoot I guess. At least he’s putting them to some use instead of landfill.

One potential risk is botulism if sheep or cattle graze that land.

I, like plenty here, put a bit of bait down to get them where I want. But dumping, no other word for it, that amount of dead animals in one spot is just numpty behaviour imo.
