COMING SOON

Pulsar Axion XQ30 Pro with sensitive 25mk netD sensor and 384 resolution European Lynred Sensor.

Available to pre-order now.

Is the old one the axiom and then this is an Axion PRO? (The pro being the upgrade?).

What’s the difference between the old model and the new pro units?

Would you be better off going for an older unit with a 640 sensor?

I liked my XM30f but IDing stuff a little bit further out wasn’t great.

This has a 380px resolution <25mk sensor with 17micron pixel pitch the old model had a 320 resolution <50mk sensor and 12 micron pixel pitch.

Bare in mind Pulsar state a true NetD and some companies overstate this...

Will they be making a XG35 PRO? With the 640 sensor but upgraded similar to this?

Not that I know of. Pulsar state the 12 micron sensors as 40mk, 12 micron is not as sensitive as a 17 micron, so they will not state a lower value, or pull figures out of the air...

You can try and artificially enhance it with software but you lose image detail at longer ranges and the image can turn cartoon like..

So no XG Pro

Any idea which would be better then? This new pro or the non pro XG with the 640 sensor?

From what I understand which in this field is very limited, if you hunt and just want a great thermal in all conditions the XQ pro series will be more than good enough.

And in fact in poor conditions rain fog ect the XQ actually beats the XG

Optics trade did a comparison you can look up and read it

Save your money go for the xq

I was comparing to the XG35

XG35 will still be better. Better battery system, faster lens and a larger eye display, plus 640 resolution.
