More cat wars

Haven’t heard of them being used in the UK John.If they were there would probably be an outcry and they would be smashed to bits.Mate of mine hunted in Australia a few times,On his first trip he was told to shoot a cat when he said doesn’t it belong to somebody the bloke he was with said we are 1000 klicks from the nearest house shoot the bloody thing.

Growing up in rural Australia I think leads to a different mindset around some animals, which are introduced species in that country. Cats, rabbits, foxes, pigs, deer they're all fair game at any time. We talk about shooting more deer on here, but all of those aforementioned animals can be "more" hunted in Australia.

As a kid I remember fox skins were worth $20-$25 and made nice pocket money. Today the skins are worth jack, although there's a $10 bounty paid in the state of Victoria.

Deer weren't really around where I grew up, when I grew up there, although they are now.

I remember when living in London, I couldn't believe the number of urban foxes around. Every time I saw one, I just thought about shooting the damn thing!

Our best year we averaged$33,next year $30,then $28 averages.. the buyers colluded for sure.
Still in 1982 100 x $33 was good money ,even better when you had 400 skins lol.

My old single barrel Baikal shot 400 @ $30 ish made a few change their minds re the bored out axle barrel.
