270 for Roe

Hi!
I have Roe and Muntjac stalking on the border of surrey which I use my Tikka 243 for.
I also have a Mauser 270 and would like to use it a bit more, has anyone got any idea as to which grain bullet would be good.
I usually use 130g but just wondered if anyone has got any experience with 100,110 or 115grain. Thanks

I use PPU 150 grain and the damage to the meat is minimal.

I use 150 all the time as they are dialled in and I don't have to change anything.
Muntjac to Reds "if it is not broken then don't fix it"

Same as you Rockhopper, 130 grain, if it ain't broke don't try to fix it.

Another in the same boat here. 130grain Speer softpoint from a .270. Put it in the right place and anything you're going to encounter will simply fall over.
The only exception for me is that I have some 110grian V-Max's that I use for foxes ... simply because I got them for less than I can reload a 130gr (FAR too explosive to use for anything I'll be eating but devastating on Charlie)

130sp on mostly muntjac, chinese, fallow and the odd roe.

120 grains sako blades, used 130 and 110 in the past, but i found those to be the closest to perfection.

I use obsolete 110gr GS Custom. My friends use the 110gr TTSX - they're in high demand so you need to stock up when you can find them.

I may try the 95gr TTSX when I run out of GSC.

Stick with 130g it’s what the calibre was designed for. I shoot Muntys with my 270 when I am out on the Fallow, the front end on Muntys will get wrecked no matter the choice of bullet on Roe I find it passes through without too much damage unless it catches a rib on the entry
