I know you are looking for this specific tray, but have you considered plasterers mixing trays? They are sturdy, widely available in different sizes, easy to clean and are a fraction of the cost. I have them in different sizes, so I use two together, keep all my gear in one, then when going on a stalk all my non-essential gear is lifted out in one go leaving the second tray empty for a carcass.

Sound idea, top one could be drilled to allow blood to drain into second one, some have fitted covers I believe...

hi yes I am looking for this specific model or a jet sled for example. I am welding up a cage to clip to the back of my tow bar and I want something that acts as a tub, a lid, and is also robust enough to be used asa drag sled. I know bushcraft do a nice sled but the top isn't flat so I can't use it as a lid on my metal cage.

Drag sleds are a nice idea in principle, but you obviously cant carry it with you and when you have been on a stalk who wants to walk a couple of miles back to your vehicle to get it? Also dragging a sled sounds ok, but if the ground aint nice and flat its a PITA and across clearfell is impossible, so I've never understood what good they are, for me if its a long drag, the bast drag sled is some plastic sheet secured around the carcass with duct tape, both of which fit neatly in my pack.

Yes clipping something, a tray of some kind to the tow ball would certainly be of use to those who have difficultly lifting a carcass up and into the back of a truck.
Visions of a welded angle section frame into which a large plasterers bath sits come to mind. I saw recently on the bay a tow ball socket with a length of 2x2 square steel tube attached, maybe give someone the start of ‘a plan’ 🤔

it's mainly to keep the ticks out of the back, this is a picture of what I intend to weld up. I have the raw materials but I need a tray first, to get the dimensions right.

Perfect, just what I was thinking... please post details of your finished project, I’m sure others would be interested.

Stirlingundogs on here sells the jetsleds , with allsorts of additional towing options if you pm him or look up his adverts

still looking for one of these fritzmann tubs guys, also I've just found out they are also marketed by eurohunt if anyone has one please get in touch.

Bought mine from Sportsman Gun Centre on clearance. TBH, I’ve never used it as supplied as I have many miles on normal roads to travel home with a carcass so it goes inside; roe/muntjac in a black Homebase storage box with a cooler let into the top or in a Jet Sled with cover for fallow. Sadly :), we are not the US or EU and I doubt the GB unwashed will take kindly to dead animals, or heavens forbid Bambi, being transported on the “outside”. Trailers IMHO are better if you cannot get carcasses in the back :(

yes that's the very one. unfortunately if you look on their page they have a Brexit policy of a minimum purchase of £135 plus vat, then there is import duty and international shipping. I have already spoken to them and said could I buy two and they declined and said it would have to be three. unfortunately although kral have a UK website, it is only a shell and they ship everything from the Netherlands. so that one is not a goer I'm afraid
