I couldn’t understand why nobody who tackled to perp. picked up a tool to use for “ self” defence.watch the video.
the policeman tackles one of the stabbing victims to the ground freeing the knifeman who was subdued.
whilst the policeman was in the process of detaining the victim the knifeman stabbed the policeman numerous times before one of his colleagues finally shot the knifeman.
you can then see a female officer continue to arrest the victim![]()
Has it mentioned the condition of any of the victims BB ?Morning news today says the perp is not dead!!!!!!!
One shot fired that hit him in the left side of the abdomin by the look of the video - same cop that shot him was putting pressure on while at the same time calling to his mates to try & get them to help the other cop who took a knife to the neck/head by the look of it. That guy had good drills!Morning news today says the perp is not dead!!!!!!!
It seems to me that all religions have blood on their hands, & so do most world leaders. Maybe they should all meet up & agree that they worship the same god, & that god has horns & cloven feet.Unfortunately some believe in a God that is pleased by such behaviour, completely FUBAR in thier small brains. They are brainwashed and beyond all reason.
Pan?It seems to me that all religions have blood on their hands, & so do most world leaders. Maybe they should all meet up & agree that they worship the same god, & that god has horns & cloven feet.
Good old Pan, he never hurt no one. Nothing wrong with a bit of Panism.Pan?
The God of the wild!
Probably find a fair few followers on here.
Fair enough. Not a lazy comment or any observation or criticism of our police force or paramedics.Just a factual observation that we don’t have enough of them.
i thought he took his time if you watch the videoOne shot fired that hit him in the left side of the abdomin by the look of the video - same cop that shot him was putting pressure on while at the same time calling to his mates to try & get them to help the other cop who took a knife to the neck/head by the look of it. Depends on the profile of the event. I drove over Epsom downs yesterday. I’ve never seen so many Police. I did think that it would have been an excellent day for a robbery elsewhere in Surrey.Definitely not coming to a street in the UK any time soon. Not talking about the stabbing,Talking about the amount of police/paramedics that turned up in a very short space of time.
The Police had the same dilemma.I can’t make up my mind if there were two knife men, the other of whom was being restrained by other officers.
An interesting addendum to your comment….The video shows just how quickly someone of that determined mindset can inflict serious harm very quickly and effectively with a single blade
Personal space and danger zone awareness doesn’t appear to have been on anyone’s radar initially
pity the civilian bystanders were not armed to remove the assailant from this planet
Yep about fifty yards and a five round burst works. An interesting addendum to your comment….
At least 21 feet seems to be the minimum when you are aware of the threat and ready to take action. Will be much more distance needed if unaware and not ready to act!Tueller Drill - Wikipedia

1. He took the time necessary in the circumstances to successfully get a shot into the attacker & not someone else by mistake - takes control & focus, good drills -i thought he took his time if you watch the video

Reminds me of this educational simulationYup
Been involved in many live blade incidents over a number of years in a previous role
The worst place to be when dealing with anyone with a blade is close up, unless you have the ability to incapacitate quickly and efficiently
Difficult but not impossible with open hand, less so with a Asp or Mx21
Being “switched on” attending an incident is one thing, walking with your family or alone is quite another
Some people have zero spatial awareness to surroundings or the dangers that lie about in plain sight
A wake up call to us all
Stay safe on your travels my friend
