The deer are still winningEvery new piece of hunting tech is "unethical" or gives unfair advantage. Until people see the benefits of it and it becomes widely adopted and accepted. Look at the current day/night scope trend, and look how frowned upon that was a few years back. Slightly before than it was TI. The list goes on
I'm currently using an Alpex 4k for deer and foxes. On the deer,I stick to legal shooting hour's only, even though I could shoot them quite a bit later or earlier. There's lot's that go into rising deer numbers. One is,there's more woodland in Britain now, than there has been in the last thousand years. Another factor is,some stalkers have a lot of ground, and guard it jealously, but can't shoot enough deer. On some of the ground I've shot on for a long time,I've introduced a couple of other shooters to the estate. One has done particularly well. The thing is,we're still struggling to keep on top of the deer numbers. If I jealousy guarded that ground, thing's would be considerably worse.Every new piece of hunting tech is "unethical" or gives unfair advantage. Bang on. I went to an east Anglian stalkers event and the talk was about how more deer needed to be culled and that ‘sport stalkers’ had to be part of the solution.I'm currently using an Alpex 4k for deer and foxes. good job people don't have to shoot a deer on their DSC1 coursejh1986 good job we did not have to ID the species on our DSC1 course

I'm guessing he meant "good job we didn't have to ID *those* deer on our DSC1 course", referring to my pic of the cave painting above.good job people don't have to shoot a deer on their DSC1 course![]()
Where do you get that idea from?. One is,there's more woodland in Britain now, than there has been in the last thousand years.
