hello
I’m after a new jacket for this coming game season. I want it for shooting, beating and picking up.
I like the look of the deerhunter pro gamekeeper jackets. Has any one any real world experience, good or bad.
I’m going to the game fair so hopefully get my hands on one to try on.
I already have 3 smocks so after a jacket this time.
Thanks in advance

I have the game keeper pro smock and have had it for the last 2 years, they are okay not fantastic, if you are out in the rain all day the rain will start getting through the zips after about 1 hour and they have plenty of zips for ventilation. You’ll want a good thick layer on underneath in the middle of winter. Mine is in for repair at Timpsons as one of the zips broke and is out of warranty. On the plus side it is fairly lightweight.

I have the gamekeeper coat, the one with the long tail at the back, which you can sit on, used for about 2-3 yrs, no faults, glad i got it, use it for picking up, and beating, and all sorts of shooting, not let me down, fits well, zips for vents under armpits, plenty of pockets, deep ones, for thermal, etc, hood works well adjust so not falling to impede sight, no problem with leaking, hope that helps.

Brilliant just what I was after
Real world experience

Personally, I'd have a look at the Phillip Morris sale and see what Musto offerings they have. IMHO it's better gear, better made and a comparable price.
