Thomas Straker a fantastic chef and venison cook

I only recently discovered Thomas Straker, such a breath of fresh air, a really fantastic chef in my opinion. I’ve watched loads of his cooking videos since discovering his Chanel on YouTube, so I thought he definitely deserved a mention on our excellent Stalking Directory. I will put a link up on his muntjac hunt and cook video too. Really entertaining videos that are beautifully filmed and edited with fantastic cooking skill tutorials . I take my hat off to the man.

And this one’s entertaining too:

Kindest regards, Olaf

Does that make him port side out then ? If so , then so what ?
I believe his coarse language is aimed more at the YouTube cooking community.
He’s a good presenter and chef, one that clearly shares our hunting values. What’s your problem with him ?

Just don’t like the intro and there is little about his cooking that lots of folk on here would not match.

When I go stalking I like to think I am bit more respectful to my quarry than thinking I am going out to “f**k s**t up. Each to his own.

Anything you’ve shot yourself, cooked in a wood over wood with a cup of tea you have to strain the leaves with your teeth that’s good enough for me Nnmmm delicious following on he does a video using free range mutton like a pizza style wrap, that’s definitely worth a try, mutton is a superb cut. Loved the food

I agree, lots of people on this site likely cook far better than him, that’s not my point. He gives good cooking tutorials and is interesting to watch . Lots of people would struggle to entertain his concepts of very simple and tasty cooking.
Unless I am mistaken, during his muntjac ‘stalking’ hunt he certainly doesn’t show any lack of professionalism and does exactly what he’s told. It’s not as though he’s a hunter, he’s just someone holding a rifle and taking a shot under the guidance of someone else.
You really seem to have a problem with his quite irrelevant opening statement, a statement that you seen to smear across the rest of his very nicely made film.

Kindest regards, Olaf

I enjoyed a couple of his videos following this one purely on his way of doing things, field to fork for yourself and friends, nothing finer thing to do
I’d Quite enjoy sitting around a fire amongst all that history on how it got there with them guys nice Basic-traditional Fayre love the concept should do it more 👍

I watched the first 30 seconds and when he said “I’m here to **** **** up!” I knew it was going on the list of things to watch….when I get a spare moment….when the kids are eventually asleep….at about 22:45
👍

I Dunnoe ……
Watched couple of his videos but there’s something about him 🤨….
I’m not “ gelling “ with it
I like his ethos of course an outdoor cooking but just something about him

Ibthink that style is something personal. I’m not a fan of swearing for the sake of it but his videos are aimed at non hunters to bring them to a positive mindset which needs to be encouraged.

There is some ignorance in the things he says but there is a lot more ignorance out there in the general public.

Yah, I’d have to agree with you from what I’ve recently seen on YouTube.
I saw a video the other day , peroxide blond hair. It’s a bit too anal for my liking, hes clearly lost his path in life . Very sad. Such a waste of a potentially good life.

Well it made me hungry😁 perhaps a little too much in the way of colourful language, trying to emulate a certain Mr Ramsey perhaps 🤔

Thanks for posting......a new one to me!

He did a pop up restaurant at work for two days. Never will he set foot on the place again for as long as I remain in charge!
