Carl Schlieper ? Solingen fixed blade knife, got given it by my parents in 1961, came from Riley's in Maun. Just putting a new hilt on it. SSharpens to a brilliant edge even now.

After reading about the zipper going on an Aim gun bag I got to think what I have bought new and is still in use today .
I bought a leather 12 bore cartridge belt back in 1984 when I was 15 and had just got my sg certificate. It’s still in regular use today . Thought I am on the second to last notch on the belt now40 years old and still going strong. Unfortunately the owner isn’t looking quite as good .

One I made earlier - 45 years ago (the thread holding it together was hand made too)


Made my own cartridge bag, gun and rifle slips, cartridge bag, knife sheaths, binoculars case for 7x30 Swaro SLC etc. back then too.




Still using dad’s old roe sack from the mid 1970’s, it’s still going strong.

2 X Martini Cadets made 1916.
One in 22WRM and the other in 223 rimmed.
Savage made No4 Mk1 1942.

I have the same rifle , one of my favourites . I also use a sporterized 1943 Longbranch Lee Enfield No4 Mrk1* a fair bit , along with a 1960 manufactured Model 725 in 30/06 , a 1930's Winchester Model 12 , an early 50's Winchester Model 50 12 gauge , a pre-war Husky in 9.3X57 and a pre-war Mauser 98 re-barreled to 358 Winchester . Most of my gear is old , so am I .............. we're a matching set .

Not sure if the knife I'm about to make counts or not. The finnish blade was bought two weeks ago, brand new and unused but made sometime in the late 50s. The handle will be a piece of bog oak at least 2000 years old with a piece of yellow opaque amber, around 40000- 60000 years old as a pommel stone.

A single barrel aya 20 bore hammer action. My 2nd ever gun my dad bought for me to use. Sold the 410 to buy it. Only ever had 1 amd half boxes of cartridges through it in 45 years.

My late father's Henry Clarke box lock ejector shotgun. Bought for him, new, on his twelfth birthday in 1919. This is from the 1960s with his dog Jill. Where? Likely Woburn Abbey. On one of the drives where he was a walking gun. He said you often got the best sport then. From the position of his legs it looks like he's taking a bird going back He used to use Sellier & Bellot MkII a paper cased, brown wool felt wad and 1 1/8 #5 as those were the only 12 bore cartridges you ever saw in his gunroom. They were better than Eley Grand Prix. I've posted pictures of the gun itself and its case on SD before.
