Since they updated the firmware the battery life is now fine, not 4 hours as originally stated in the sales material especially when using rangefinder but I now 2-3 hours of continuous use from each battery so worst case scenario you would need to change the battery once during a normal stalking session. Are people still having issues with battery life? I’m looking at the CQ35 but reluctant if this issue is yet to be sorted. Thanks
Thanks @cra1gscott. I love mine, I’ve looked through several different thermals and in my opinion the condor is by far the best in term of feel and also image, HIK have also been very reactive fixing minor issues and from experience their service is second to noneThanks @cra1gscott. Good to know.
I found this with my falcon and still do. The 3350 batteries last much longer than the 3200.I actually found with mine that the hik 3350mAh batterys made a significant difference over the 3200mah .
According to the size of the battery is shouldn’t but I reckon I get nearly 5 hours of use on average with my CQ50 now per battery.
On a really cold night still get about 4 hours.
I’m not on the range finder constantly but I do use it to verify ranges when shooting.
More often than not il use it to find what I’m looking for if it’s gone down in grass. Range from where I took the shot .
Always hard to find things with a thermal when it’s under your feet.
So il walk out till I’m getting the same range as I know I took the shot, then if I can’t find it . It’s only a 10 second flash with a torch![]()
I have the CH35L and have no issues using it left or right handed (though I am right handed and generally use that han). The buttons are central so no problems there and the eye piece can be rotated to suit either eye. The only problem you’ll have is the hand strap can’t be swapped to the opposite side. I have mine on a lanyard though so no concerns about dropping it.I found this with my falcon and still do. The 3350 batteries last much longer than the 3200.
Are any left handers using the condor? How do you find it?

Try some of these, recommended by mealie jimmy.I have the CH35L and have no issues using it left or right handed (though I am right handed and generally use that han). As for the op, I usually get ~3 hours of constant run time on one battery, very happy with it all round.
Not at all, I'm getting 3.5-4hrs use each out of the ones supplied with the unit (you get 3 in the box). Are people still having issues with battery life? I’m looking at the CQ35 but reluctant if this issue is yet to be sorted. Thanks
Yep - I bought two (no need to go over the top lads…) they took forever to charge on the recommended lowest setting but so far are lasting really well.Try some of these, recommended by mealie jimmy.

Yes, I believe Image Pro and Zoom Pro options are now gone from the menus and are just on by default all the time.Ok lads just a quick question.
I have recently done the latest software update on my condor CQ35L (V5.5.85_240810)
Since the update has been installed I can no longer see the zoom pro option in the menu.
Is this normal with the latest software version?
