Nope, but still a lot of fun.

Biggest one was in the last post - rest of them were snack size - lost count after a dozen.

Please excuse my ignorance of beach fishing. I’ve caught mackerel on feathers from the shore which was great fun and when you have three on offer a good amount of resistance rather than a fight. Do the other species offer any sport so to speak?

They do, even mackerel put on a good show if you go after them one at a time with light gear.

Yep they sure can - with a string of them on feathers all going different ways is mental.

Pound for pound though, the best fighting fish in UK waters are for me without doubt Smoothounds.

Nice one FB can’t beat a day out, nice too see bass whatever size
We aremeant to be heading out to winchelsea beach next couple of weeks on a right tide, theres a nice gulley that fishes well just 3-4 hours on the up tide just past the pub, it's early doors time though, first job bottom of a real low tide, razor fish collection , then brekkie/kip then fish tide up bass maybe, razor fish defo happy days

Took the family down the next day - dog made a new friend.

He was pooped after all the swimming.
