Budget NV add ons

After an add in NV set up, I use to have one with the screen you viewed rather than looking down the reticle, but that was many moons ago. I’m looking at either the pard007 @£280ish Or the sytong ht66 @£260ish. What’s your experiences with these?

It’s for a sub12 air rifle mainly with the occasional use on a rimfire rifle. Don’t want to go too mental on spending a fortune as this is the only permission I need to shoot in fading light/darkness.

Hi I've used the Pard 007 to good effect on everything from .177 air rifle for rats . On my centerfire for foxing very versatile add on with built in ir .

I went for it purely on price and i find it great, i use it on an AA S200 sub 12 pcp for rats and i find it really good. You'll need a scope with Parallax adjustment for these types of add ons so bare that in mind.

Had one of these delivered today and just got back from being out on the rabbits. Pretty impressed with the unit for the money. Absolutely perfect for sub12 shooting

Pard 007 was my intro into NV, since then I have added the 008P and more recently the Zulus both of which are great on my .177 and .222 respectively but I gave retained the 007 and use it on everything from my .22 to 6.5x55SE without any issues - they come up on this site at not a lot of money too….

I'm another that uses a PARD 007V on everything from FAC air to 2543CF. Inexpensive, easy to use and reliable. Unless you're thinking of shooting out to silly distances a PARD 007V will do the job.

I would suggest using an IR torch rather than the PARD IR as it does drain the battery on full power.

I bought the Sytong after reading various reviews here and elsewhere. It's ideal as an add on. I did buy an Arken Zulus and now the Sytong doesn't get used which is a shame as it's been barely used

I have a Sytong 77 LRF add on that i used for a very short time before i bought the Zulus, great bit of kit, really cant fault it.

+1 for sytong look on eBay for a scope adapter because they just give you a roll of tape which doesn’t work!

What do you mean it doesn't work? I've got two Sytong collars of different dismeters on different scopes and used the electrical tape to fine tune the fit. They're rock solid and work well so not sure what issue you're having?

For the scopes that I was using with them the electrical tape didn’t increase the diameter enough and left residue on the scope so I wanted an adapter collar ring, just slides over your scope and into the NV ring tighten it up and it’s a nice easy fit and can be removed easily and put onto different scopes/ rifles without having to have tape on them permanently.

I must have been lucky with the two scopes I had as minimal tape was needed and so it was pretty solid. Good to know those exist though in case needed for the future.

I bought one for a small scope recently also.

I had 3 different size adapters for 3 different scopes with my Sytong and they all fitted securely with a few layers of tape.
