Rifle sling chest strap options?

Hi, looking for recommendations.

Either a new sling or preferably a strap to convert my existing rifle sling into something resembling the z-aim etc.

Have seen the "safety gun strap" from bestfoxcall- best part of £40 for a simple strap doesn't seem worth it.

Also does this type of sling work well when wearing a bino pack? Most pics I've seen shows them sitting high across the chest

Thanks 👍

I think I remember there was a thread on here during the Covid lockdown showing how to make a DIY Z Aim sling.

I personally for the price found the napier

APEX SIDEWINDER RIFLE SLING

excellent and have them on 3 rifles

I use the Alpine innovations dual sling on all my rifles, very simple but very good.

Basically just get a quake claw sling that’s the problem solved simples… ie a sling that does its job and doesn’t fall off without some elaborate bondage setup

Thanks for the above, does anyone use with bino pack regularly or are they generally a pain to mix the two?

I use the napier with a kuiu bino harness for the habroks for stalking and its not a problem sits perfect and doesn’t move and ive walked for miles with it one press of the button swing the rifle under your arm straight on to the sticks

Thanks for all the suggestions, I don't want to steer away from the standard sling too much as alot of my stalking is woodland. I think I'll give the Napier a go for now see how I get on with it.

any good if you can find one, had no issue with the one i use.

Also I'm keen to see any DIY solutions to this.
I made this from scratch with webbing and buckles off Ebay.

It works well with a bino harness and a rucksack too if needed. The reason for this is I made the chest strap extra long so it is versatile enough to work in summer over a t-shirt or winter over various layers, with a bingo harness and rucksack too.

I definitely wouldn't spend £40 on the chest strap as you could make 10 for that price and they'd probably be better and more suited to your needs.
