Never needed one in 40 + years of reloading belted cases in more than 9 different rifles and 4 different calibres!
I don't see the point of these when you can modify a standard FL die into a small base body die very easily.
I made one a few years back for an ex-sd member's 7mm RM - never got any feedback on whether he actually needed it.
