Today at work I.....

Hmmmm, I wonder who the customer could be, if only there were a clue. 🤔
The only difference with this one is the logo design! And is so fiddly to weld on. I had to tig it on.
I've suggested puddle welding a logo on and sand flat but it won't happen.

Many years ago I worked for a survey company based on the N Wales coast near Abergele, we used to do a lot of work in Snowdonia and it was usually very enjoyable and didn’t really seem like work. Especially as back in the day we were using OS trig pillars on the tops of hills, gear on shoulders and a good hike up a few hills was an excellent way to earn a crust. 😁

Am lucky I have a great mix of customers, from Rural to heavy industries, one week am cutting new bridal tracks around countryside next am sorting concrete and drainage in recycling plants or engineering sites.
Variety is the spice of life they say and am grateful for all my customers even if my face tells a different story 😂

Tidying up on a drain line a customer wanted to do himself three weeks ago, excavated the line then disappeared on holiday.
So now my job to get it piped, graveled and back filled.
It's not like working when in the rural environment 😁
I used to hate tidying up someone else's crap job when I was driving a 360.
Your customer wasn't too worried about keeping the spoil separate?

Landscaping was always my favourite work. Last week I visited a job that I did 8 years ago. I was asked to do a pond and do a "bit" of other work if I had some spare time. I was on that site for 12 months. Some of the nicest people I worked for in 30 years driving a swing shovel.

This guy owns the farm and is retired, so doesn't care if it takes three months his wife on the other hand tells me to get it sorted ASAP 😂
This drain line is for a bridal track and when he was digging the line it was clear we were not the first to have a go, I would say it's been a wet bit since time began with many attempts to drain it so the majority of spoil is already mixed hence the mixed bands.
I do like landscaping I have done some nice jobs over the years, it's very tough on the body, give me a big concrete job any day.

Bridal tracks? :-| 🤣

At first I thought you had suggested that your boss gets into high seats.

Reminds me of a time when I was working in a pipe shop in Brazil, they would assemble spools either on the floor or on rudimentary benches consisting of two trestles and a few scaffold boards, they wondered why the fail to fit rate was very nearly every spool.
I had a mooch around the yard and found a big slab of 30mm plate and a good pile of various heavy sections, I drew a design for a large table that could be levelled and suggested that I could even mark out a grid pattern to make their job a lot easier, it would also give the apprentices something to do.
They weren’t in the slightest bit interested and carried on fabrication the only way they knew how. 🙄
