Something weird going on here - Sako factory ammo not what it seems

As said previously, most likely this is new old stock. The Gamechangers originally had the solid green tips. Then when Hornady made a big hoopla about the polymer that they were using was melting at certain velocities, everyone change to polycarbonate tips (which are clear). If they're marked GC,s then that is what is important, as the functional difference between GCs and TMK is the jacket thickness (and a slightly different ogive).

Yeah perhaps you're right. I didnt know the GCs had solid green so that makes me feel a bit better! Thanks

The tmk is a killer as well from the reading I’ve done, so you would be good either way.

Well they work!

162 meters chest shot. Exit not as big as SSTs but seem to be a bit more frangible. Small hole beside main exit. Could be bone or could be a bit of jacket maybe.

Yeah probably is the case. Not sure why sierra haven’t updated their website though

See if it's 155, or 165

I’ve only ever shot cup and core. I’ve had one jacket separation on nosler BT. Lead core passed through, jacket was in the carcass.
