Bog or manbilly

Need another set tripod sticks . Looking at bog death grip or manbilly . Manbilly are carbon fibre .Has anyone used both ?

the weight of the carbon one is greater than my vortex high country 2 aluminium one with a standard pan/tilt head on…. I thought the general advantage with carbon fibre was the weight saving (as well as rigidity but still….) might you be better sourcing a tripod and fitting a head?

What style of shooting Mitch? I've been using death grip for years now - absolutely rock solid & so easy to swing 360°. BUT (and it's a big but) 1000015840.webp it's way too heavy to be comfortably carried around on foot all night..I know because that's what I do (too tight to replace) but it's certainly not ideal for mobility.

Static hunting on squirrels day time
Static huntin on rabbits at night
Static hunting on fox and stalking on fox with 223

Please keep us up to date with what you purchase, I'm thinking of getting something similar for shooting on the poultry farms and pig units instead of quad sticks.

Just been back on the manbilly web site and if you subscribe to newsletter You will receive 15% off your first order , which it will come down to £164 . So might take a punt on this

Sounds good, I couldn't even get the double discount you put up on the screenshot.
Let me know what you think about it when it arrives.

I'm not sure the maximum height of 63" is going to be tall enough for me @ 6' 1", I think I need a tripod with the centre column. I'll have to have a look at my mate's one, he's shorter than me.

Had my bogpod death grip a couple of years now .
Rock solid ideal for static hunting over bait stations, poultry sheds or squirrel nests.
One modification I've done the pins for locking the height angle I've drilled and fitted an R clip to stop them popping out .

As above, the BOG Deathgrip is a solid piece of kit. They do the Infinite variant also if you want the extra ball head lateral articulation.

I'm 68.5 inches tall and when I have my tripod set up to suit me in a standing position it is 56 inches high so you might be ok.
