Bog or manbilly

I'm 68.5 inches tall and when I have my tripod set up to suit me in a standing position it is 56 inches high so you might be ok.
Thanks, my local gunsmith has some Bog jobbies in stock, I might nip over and try one.. it's my birthday in November :)

Please get us know how you get on, I’m seriously considering one, I’m 6,2ft tall so that’s my only worry

I have a Bog, which I have replaced the original head so it takes arca rail.
The weight reduction is significant with no knock on to accuaracy

When did it all go so very, very wrong?
When we got told American Special Forces such gizmos to snipe Taliban at silly ranges.... probably a load of tosh but I thought I'd give one a go for my long ratting sessions, I'll stick with quad sticks for stalking... thinking about it how long have they been allowed :-|

Well, my Man Bily tripod arrived a while ago, and first impressions are it's going to do what I want it to, for less than two hundred with a swiveling ball head I'm happy.
Tube diameter is less than the Bog, but I knew this from reading the spec, it's still nice and stable with my Tikka sitting on top, I can see that instead of locking the head off to take a shot I'll probably be gripping the ball head and "Fisting" to put pressure on the underside of the saddle clamp to stop movement... going to have to go shooting very soon to try it out in the field.

My tripod arrived today , I must say the whole set up looks and feels excellent . I was worried a bit when others said heavy to carry around in the field , but to me not heavy at all , even with clamp on

Hi @villaman , I used my ManBily for a few rats last night, it's the first time I've used such a setup to shoot from, I normally use Quads. I have to say I'm very pleased with the purchase for less than 200 quid all in. Smooth and very stable, also it's lightweight, not quite as light as Bushwear quads though but the benefits far outweigh the slight weight increase.
Thanks for posting the thread, it gave me the push I needed to splash a bit of cash on one.
