6.5 PRC powder choices

Are you using the 130gr Gamechangers in the PRC, if so how are you finding them?
Brilliant as always. If you're shooting roe at 100 they can cause a little damage but beyond 300 is where they work really well. If I remember correctly I've got them going at a moderate 3100fps there or thereabouts. They poleaxe anything they hit. When sending them through my creedmoor at 2800 it was the same story. Reds out to 300+ were knocked straight down and minimal damage on smaller deer (muntjac+ roe) past 150

Thanks for that

As stated in my first post I have a few boxes of these left over from my CM.

The fact they can be sent a bit flatter and faster than the heavier bullets appeals to me anyway. They also have a good BC.

I think these will be the bullets that I will try first in the PRC and build a load upon.

Hi I use RS76 was getting the 147g eld-m doing 3050fps with the RS76 & not even on max load out 24” barrel. I use N165 in 110g virtus or the 114g tlr. The 114g tlr fair put holes in the roe so I’ve got some 130g Hornady cx to try out & develop going forward

Pleasing first results with the Winchester Staball HD powder (red HD label), a job lot of standard seating die (ring mark on ogive) loads, 5 round groups at 100 yards, 147 grain VLD M's, starting at 56.5 gns stepping up in half grain increments to 58.50gns produced a 1/4 m.o.a. print @ 58gns.
A little ragged admittedly, but pretty good through a moderator haze.
Ronin has produced yet another reach out & touch machine, Loading from mag is crisp and a nice throw from ejector & no port fouling.
Some work on technique along with seating depth / charge weight adjustment could well provide a one hole result.
