Dacia duster robustness

If anyone wants to know, this is a symbol of their robustness

I chucked my filthy muddy rugby shorts in the washer then dryer. The duster key was in them. Pulled out in a panic- and it still does the clicky lock and unlock no worries.

Seems like a result!

Ps duster v2 2018.

Aaw, thought we were going to get a picture of a Duster laden to the roof with carcasses, ploughing it's way back through a wet tattie park 😂.
I've had a fallow in the back of a Skoda Fabia over a grass park,, hardly the same.

I’ve had a fabia. I quite believe it!

As a point of interest I ended up with my Disco 4 keys doing a full cycle in the washing machine, needless to say they didn’t work. However a bit of Googling and research later, it’s not the water ingress that stops them working it’s the water deposits on the electronics. I opened the key fob removed the battery got a mug of water added good concentration of kettle descaler and left the key from in for an hour, then overnight in the airing cupboard to fully dry out put in new battery and boom, back to working
