I'm sorry Ian but i'm still crying with laughter! Not just at the pictures but at the comments put on by some of the site comedians. Brilliant.

I understand that some poor fella is gutted about his mount, but this has to be one of the funniest threads ever, every cloud...

For Gods sake DONT add water or it may turn into an adult of the species as below!

Does this guy have a black lab and a white stick? I would be gutted if it was my deer mount that had been done in this way and understand how angry you will be.I suggest that you seek advice and see what can be done from a legal point of view in order you can get compensation as I dont think a small claims court would view that appalling work as acceptable.

My wifes ambition was to shoot a wild goat. Last year while we were stalking on Jura she got one. Guess what I didnt know about SD and took it to the said taxidermist. After months of chasing him we got it back, what a bloody mess.Wood wool hanging out of it white stuff all around one eye,God knows what is coming out of the nose and mouth and a ten bob home made rubbish shield.Ugh

Hi all. I shot my first deer ever in November 2011. A muntjac also. I delivered it to Tom Elliot as he was the only taxidermist the guide new of in the area. I live locally so I dropped it to him. I got the shoulder mount back a month ago after a few phone calls etc. I can say with all honesty that the above munti is a work or art in comparison to the victorian teddy bear I have here. It is an absolute disgrace what I collected. A terrible and really poor job. Within a week it was looking so much worse. As it was my first mounting and as I had not really seen any work before I paid the £150 for it the night I collected it and have called him since to say how terrible it is. It was given back to me too soon is his defense for his horrendous work. I will definitely post photos of my mount here tomorrow. Prepare to be shocked. You have no idea. Take my advice and the advice of the above stalker, do not send any work to this man. Anybody that would like further confirmation of this can pm me for my phone number etc. I am happy to advise and try to prevent anybody else not just being ripped off ( it was very cheap ) but also being so disappointed when they receive. It's an important lesson I have learned in life and in stalking. always go on recommendations. Hopefully ones you can trust. Photos to follow. ps.. my profile pic is the Munit I shot during 'Movember' (november) so excuse the facial hair. Not a medal but a nice buck and as I say my first. What a bloody shame that the shameful man has destroyed it.

It is a bit of a case of 'suspicions confirmed' when you hear that there are other folks whose trophies have suffered at the hands of this fool. :suss:

Rgds

Ian
