NocPix Ace H50R Thermal Scopes

I've had a chance to spend some time with the Ace H50R and I have to say it's the best 640 sensor/50mm lens thermal scope I've used to date
The optical zoom is actually useful in that it enlarges the target without pixellating it
The inline LRF makes it look more like a traditional scope
The big circular display makes it easy to see everything on the screen without having to get your head in exactly the right position
Much better temperature sensitivity than even quite recent thermal scopes
Alongside a HIK Stellar SQ50 (gen 1) the Nocpix was showing temperature detail that was not visible with the Stellar
Overall, a great bit of kit

Cheers

Bruce.
Have you had chance to compare the Nocpic against the thermal channel of the DNT Thermnight 635 please ?

Yes, and it's not a fair comparison
The Nocpix has a 50mm lens, and a 1.03" 2560x2560 circular display with up to x3 optical zoom
The DNT 635 has a 35mm lens, a 0.49" 1920x1080 display and no optical zoom
The Nocpix image is better than the DNT, but given the respective specifications, that shouldn't be surprising

Cheers

Okay thanks Bruce.

Currently I have been testing Stellar 3.0 SQ50L, Stellar 3.0 SX60L , Ace H50R, Ace S60R, Tube TS60 and some more top end scopes, that will be announced in January ...

Interesting to compare all the software functions, algorithms, ballistic functions, close and long range performance etc

30 minutes left to get a NoxPix Ace in your hands as early as tomorrow !

How do these units compare to the likes of the Pulsar Thermion XP and XG models? Anyone have any real experience with comparing these units?

This is the only comparison I can find, would like to see a Thermion 2 XG50 LRF comparison.

I owned a Pulsar Thermion XG50 LRF (and sold it), and I just spent a week or so with the NocPix Ace H50R
IMHO, there is no comparison the NocPix is miles better than the Pulsar
More temperature detail with the NocPix and no "net curtain effect" that is evident on every Pulsar I look at
Much, much better display on the NocPix - 2560x2560 circular display compared to 1024x768 rectangular display in the Pulsar
The Nocpix also has optical zoom on the display which means you can increase the apparent size of a potential target without making it more pixellated (as would be the case with digital zoom)
This is absolutely no contest, the NocPix wins by a "Noc out" :)

Cheers

Hi Bruce,
Below is what I asked Ian the other day, I am guessing you would go for the Nocpix or would you go Stellar 3? My budget is £3.5 inc VAT max.

"Sometime in the new year I will be looking for an all-rounder thermal scope (with LRF, ballistics etc) that will possibly do it all, from being able to swap over several rifles on QD rings and keep zero.
So having it on a sub 12 air rifle on the rats & rabbiting .22lr and .17hmr rimfires to taking deer in a woodland on a night licence with the .243."
