Leica Amplus or Delta Titanium?

Opinions please as to these 'scopes.

Both have similar features and similar price. I have read excellent reports of the Delta and Leica is a well respected brand. Indeed i have Leica Binoculars.

Which one would you opt for and why please?

I've had the delta and I currently run the amplus 3-18x44. I prefer the leica glass over the delta amd at that price I would snatch up the leica.

The delta is good for the money, the Leica is a steal at that price, as long as you can get in with the reticle.

The reason this leica is so cheap is because the ret is a ballistic one and therefore like a Christmas tree. Nothing wrong with it, but it certainly isn’t for everyone.

Ret aside I have both with a normal 4a ret and there isn’t much to choose between them. Leica’s with a 4a ret though tend to be £1250+.

I have the Swaro equivalent reticle on my .300. Really handy for marking drops quickly out in the field. I’d go for the Leica

The Delta is made in Japan i believe. Is the Leica Germany or Portugal?

I am not very clued up on telescopic sights so please be patient with me.

My current glass is all Leupoled VXIII. I do not like the change in eye relief as magnification is altered. 15 power max is ideal for stalking i think.

So Leica is made in Portugal then. That is no bad thing. I had one of the early Leica rangefinders, they were Portuguese and gave great service.
