After some advice please chaps.

Always used a tumbler with walnut media to clean my cases.

However someone has given me a Lyman ultra sonic cleaner. So my question is what’s the best solutions to buy? The Lyman stuff on the internet seems really expensive - I’m sure there must be some cheaper alternatives which are just as good?

Many thanks in advance guys.

Lyman's own sonic cleaner is good. Made for brass cleaning.
Spuds used to stock it but can't find it on there anymore

I would go for the above though next time as like you say it's expensive

Dishwasher tablet few drops of washing up liquid rinse in hot water to save tarnished then dry ! I use a food dehydration thing heat 70?

Cream of Tartare (oxidizing agent used in baking).
A heaped teaspoon in a sandwich bag , add to warm water and shake it until dissolved.
Put in dirty cases and seal sandwich bag.
Remove plastic tray on ultrasonic as it absorbs 30 percent of the waves.
Put sealed bag with brass in metal bath and top up with warm water.
It works a treat.
The sandwich bag is the barrier between the metal.
I've done this for 30 years and no problems ever.
Hope this helps.
